Katie Jarvis has to make a decision. She knows that her engagement to fellow school teacher Jason King may not be the love match of the century but she feels secure and comfortable with her upcoming marriage because “Jason and I want the same things. This is an interesting story. It’s a romance, but it’s even more a book about choices and why we make them. The story is written strictly from the POV of the female protagonist. It was an interesting look into one woman’s journey from the comfortable, easy choice, to the risky, exciting choice.I found the writing style to be stilted. The prose didn’t flow well a lot of the time. The dialog was the same. I found the style to be awkward much of the time. This was my primary reason for a three star rating.
On a personal note, I’m not fond of books where a main character starts a relationship with one person while already committed to another. I know this happens in real life all the time, I just don’t find it romantic and I don’t want to read about it. That’s just my personal preference.

Katie can't decide if Jason is boring enough to leave. She can't decide if Sam is exciting enough to take a chance on. The whole book is about starting a relationship with Sam while still engaged to Jason. I felt sorry for Jason. Sam knew Katie was in a committed relationship and pursued her anyway. This isn't a book I'd put on my keeper shelf
Warm Winter Love is a charming book. The reader is pulled into Katie's life with such creative narrative that you think she's an old friend by the end of the first chapter. The author is a great story teller and the book was a delight to read. I highly recommend it.
I love my version of Warm Winter Love! I found it to be a very enjoyable and well written love story that immediately drew me in.
